Notes on the AGM – Jan 2010

Hi everyone

Here are a few notes on some of the issues raised at the AGM, in no particular order.  

Star Accrediation - The new development plan will be published soon.   Progress will be reviewed twice during the year.   Our continued endeavours to maintain Star Acc standards was noted in the constitution.

Club Championships - The return of the Club Championships will be on the new website shortly.  We are looking for volunteers to coordinate the results of these events.   Anyone who fancies a go, please contact me or Debs.

Club Membership - Club membership fees this year are £25 seniors, £7.50 juniors.  Swim sessions are £3 seniors, £2.50 juniors.  Turbo sessions are £3.   We are currently developing a plan to offer monthly standing order payments for all training sessions and we will let you know as soon as this is organised.

Training -  This year we will continue to offer open water swim sessions, Llandow track sessions and transition training as well as the normal training sessions for swim, bike & run. 

Club Events - The three main Club events are continuing in 2010: The Drovers Run, The Tuska Triathlon and the Childrens' Triathlon.  Details of the Drovers Run and now available online.  Details of other events will be put on our new website asap. 

Social Events - We hope to be organising a number of social events during this year - e.g. Pasta nights, Summer BBQ, Christmas Party, etc.   Caroline Bryant, our Social Secretary will no doubt think of many weird and wonderful events during the year.   You may also have seen a notice on the website about Friday Club Night - 7.15pm at Pencoed Rugby Club for a quick drink to close the week.   All are welcome.  Hope to see you there.

Club Clothing & Kit - We are currently looking at increasing our range of Club clothing and kit, incorporating the Club logo.   Details will be put online as soon as possible.

Coaching - As always, we are looking for new Club coaches.  We have a couple of members who have expressed an interest in registering on Level One coaching courses, which the Club fully supports.  Anyone else who is interesting in developing their coaching skills, please contact Mike. 

This is only a sample of the issues discussed at the AGM.   We will keep you informed of any further developments.
