Dear Entrant,
We hope you had a good time at our Junior Tri and Fun2Tri event on Sunday - the weather was definitely on our side this year! We were very proud to see so many taking part, and keeping going when the going got tough! Especial congrats to all the first timers and Fun2Tri ers.
Please find attached the results for the Tristar competition - our apologies - but we didn't get bike and run splits for the Tristart wave.
We've had a post race review, and felt (as has been a concern in previous years) that the terrain for the bike course is very challenging. We have to abide by minimal distances set by the British Triathlon Asssociation and so are not able to shorten the course, but we have decided to switch the location of the bike and run courses so the bike leg is held on the cricket/rugby ground. This is more regularly mown and is a smoother, more compact surface which will be easier to cycle on.
The run will take place on the school playing field but we'll still have the finish adjacent to the pool carpark.
So if your child was put off by the cycle leg don't worry - it'll be different next year!
